The advent of Internet banking has meant that the days of going to the physical bank to do your banking are becoming progressively numbered.
For those of us who have become spoiled by Internet banking, dedicated apps for smartphones ensure that we can do it while on the move.
Commonwealth Bank has released a version of its existing app, this time targeted at Windows Phone 7.
It comes with the features users may already be familiar with in the desktop version.
No mere port, the Windows Phone 7 app features a slick menu design that integrates well into the device’s Metro theme.
A handy feature of the app is that there is the option to locate your nearest Commonwealth Bank branch and ATMs with the help of GPS.
Pros: Metro-styled menus work well.
Cons: Sometimes feels like a front end for the website.
Verdict: Smooth and hassle-free mobile banking.
