Spotify brings albums, artists and top hits to you, on your Android.
It lets you pick music tracks you love and listen to them either by streaming them online or downloading them and getting access to it offline.
All you need to do is register for a free Spotify account – but if you wish to upgrade to the continuing service, which costs $11.99 per month, you will have to provide log in details.
It bridges the gap between being just another music service provider and a social networking site.
You can create multiple playlists and share them with your friends (just like you would share a photo album on a social networking site). This also means that you get to browse through your friends’ playlists and download those you like.
You can also log on using your Facebook details, which allows you to sync your activity on Spotify on the networking site. Your friends will be able to check on the current songs you are listening to and the tracks you have previously listened to. This app was reviewed on a HTC Velocity 4G.
Pros: Provides you with a world of music on the go.
Cons: Only free for a month – pay $11.99 per month thereafter.
Verdict: Give it a try and you’ll get addicted to it.
