Kick-Off for iPad
Cost: Free | Developer:Leading Brands JLT | Platform:iOS | Version 1.0| 3.9MB | 4.0+
The Kick-Off app brings a full interactive history of football (soccer) to your iPad.
The app traces the history of ‘the beautiful game’ back to its early foundation in 2BCE China, and takes you through its development and organisation to its current status.
To make things interesting, the app has been developed with an array of vintage photos dating back to the early 1900s. This includes a clip of Pele in 1958.
Videos are also included.
As a bonus, the app developers are giving all purchases the ability to win a signed Gordon Banks print of what is labeled to be the all-time ‘World’s Greatest Save’.
It’s important to note that the initial 3.9MB download is not the whole deal. As the app description carefully outlines, a content download is required when you launch Kick-Off: 315MB for the iPad/iPad 2, and 410MB for the new iPad due to the retina display.
As such, the app is configured for both versions, so you can take advantage of its full capabilities regardless of which device you have.
Pros: An interactive photo and video-filled history of football – not much more needs to be said.
Cons: Large file sizes, no iPhone version.
Verdict: A necessary app for football fans who own an iPad.

I don't know if it's just me or if everyone else experiencing problems with your
site. It appears as if some of the written
text within your posts are running off the screen. Can someone else
please provide feedback and let me know
if this is happening to them too? This may be a issue
with my browser because I've had this happen before. Many thanks
