AppTastic is an amazing app that allows you to keep yourself up to date on the latest and best apps in the Windows market.
It presents all the apps available for Windows smartphones and lets you pick apps you desire by filtering them by criteria – such as popularity, categories and keywords and further breaks it down to paid, free, on trial or even on sale.
There is also a tab for your favourite apps. Following your custom criteria, it lists all the apps that match your preferences.
You can configure the settings on the app to personalise it to suit your needs.
The app even keeps track of all updates available for any app that you download through AppTastic. It shows you how much space each update will take on your phone, giving you the choice of updating it, leaving it as it is or deleting the app.
This app was reviewed on a Nokia Lumia 800.
Pros: An app that presents you with the world of Windows apps.
Cons: Option to pick free or paid apps only available after choosing the category of apps – should be featured with other sorting options.
Verdict: It’s more than just an app for search; it’s an app for app discovery.
