Privacy advocates fear CISPA

Privacy advocates are riled up after the recent passing of the controversial Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act by the House, which occurred despite opposition from privacy advocates, lawmakers and the White House.

The bill was created to help government agencies gather information in the name of cybersecurity. ISPs could analyze and share information on user activity with the government. This is a complete affront to civil liberties, say bill opponents.

CISPA appears to open the door to allow what some deem Big Brother -- a way for there government to further spy on citizens. But they wonder where are the checks and balances? Where is the judicial oversight for such an intrusion of someone's privacy?
