Fanatix
Cost: Free | Developer:Tixdaq | Platform:iOS | Version 1.6.1 | 6.4MB | 4.0+
Fanatix is a social go-to news service for fanatics who like to keep up to date with a whole range of sports; no more need to download numerous apps.
Offerings news on all sports and an array of leagues from around the globe in each of these, the app not only gives users past results, but live updates.
These live updates are concise, and include match predictions, competition ladders, game timeline, team lineups, as well as statistics.
As a social platform, like Yahoo’s Fango, Fanatix contains a chat feature that users can access to share their thoughts on the action and interact with others.
Like many apps, Fanatix requires you to connect with Facebook for full functionality (such as chat), but for those who aren’t interested in the social aspect, this is optional.
General operation of the app is smooth. There is no delay when moving from page to page, and load times are quick (note that it was reviewed on a Wi-Fi connection).
Pros: Free, fast load times, detailed and concise.
Cons: Must connect to Facebook for full functionality.
Verdict: A necessary app for big sports fans; saves users from downloading an array of apps to track numerous sports
