Siemens’ doors open to channel partnerships

Company wants to fill ‘white spaces’ by expanding its ecosystem

Technology products, systems, services and solutions provider, Siemens, has said its doors are open for potential partnerships as it works to expand its channel presence within Australia.

The company, as a vendor whose Australian PLM presence exists only through partners, is looking to add to its existing partner ecosystem by venturing into white spaces in which it is currently lacking presence.

Siemens APAC vice-president and managing director, KC Yee, said, “If any medias are interested in partnering with us, we are very keen.”

The company’s Australia and ASEAN vice-president and general manager, Rajiv Ghatikar, said, “Our doors are very open. We look for two things in partners. Firstly, competency in terms of domain knowledge to which they can participate. The second thing is hunger – we need them to be hungry and want to succeed in this market with us.”

“We are very selective because we believe in long-term relationships. We want partners who already complement our ecosystem. We are also very cautious to engage with possible partners who are close to the end of their lifecycle,” he said.
