The National Broadband Network will touch 758,100 premises by the end of the year according to NBN Co’s yearly rollout schedule.
This adds 191,000 premises to the previous schedule released in October last year.
Premises covered by the schedule include areas where the network is active, where rollout is progressing and where work on the NBN is due to begin until the end of the year.
Estimated time from when NBN rollout begins and when services are available in a location is approximately 12 months.
There are currently 66 locations encompassed by the updated rollout plan.
The new schedule adds eight new areas onto the rollout plan including Corrimal in New South Wales, Ascot in Queensland, Footscray, Karingai and Keysbourough in Victoria and Bellerive, Claremont and South Launceston in Tasmania.
NBN work on 121,500 premises is currently underway.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
