StumbleUpon

I don’t know about you, but I seem to find myself bored of most apps on my smartphone after a week. I am always looking for some way to stay entertained during my long commutes to work.
This is where StumbleUpon comes in. As an extension of the website, the app is a random website generator that operates based on your selected criteria.
To use the app, you can either sign in with Facebook, or make a StumbleUpon account. Once you have done that, you browse a large selection of interests, ranging from ancient history to video games, and tick that in which you are interest.
From there, it’s simply a matter of pressing “Start Stumbling”, and the app will do the rest of the work.
You can also filter your own interests in case you are only after a certain subject matter.
Additionally, you can follow other users and choose favourites.
The generated pages range anywhere from comics and images, to articles, news, music, and videos.
Pros: Free, simple, always offers new things.
Cons: Can generate uninteresting pages.
Verdict: A really good way to stay entertained when you’ve exhausted all your apps.
