Rdio
Cost: Free | Developer: Rdio | Platform: iOS | Version 1.3.2 | 5.0MB | 3.1.3+
Rdio is a recently launched social music service that enables you to listen to unlimited, on-demand music on-the-go.
You can create unrestricted ad-free playlists from a range of over 10 million songs. Your songs, albums and playlists can be synced and played even when you are offline.
It provides you with the option of ‘following’ your friends or other people who have a similar taste in music as yourself. You can then collaborate your playlists with theirs and sync it across your mobile device and Web service.
Rdio adds many new albums to the range every week and if you have trouble looking for a specific song, you can use the search option across the entire Rdio catalog.
Rdio is a subscription music service, which is available with In-App Purchases for $20.99 per month, renewing automatically. This app was reviewed on an iPhone 4. Pros: Lets you merge your playlists with your friends’ or those with similar taste in music as yourself.
Cons: In app purchases are pricy at $20.99 a month.
Verdict: Worthy of trying out the free trial and users who buy single tracks off other sites might find this a better alternative with a monthly fee for unlimited music choices.
