Juniper training business, Training IT Professionals, has been acquired by a competing Juniper Authorised Education Centre, Crystal Echo.
Training IT Professionals was run by IT veteran Alex Lopez, who has sold the business to Crystal Echo after four years of operation.
Lopez’s decision to sell Training IT Professionals was attributed to a personal need to “move on” and seek “other opportunities” within the channel.
“We and Crystal Echo had a number of discussions throughout the four years whilst competing in the marketplace,” he said.
“Now is a perfect time for both companies to consolidate and build one Juniper Education Centre to provide Juniper with the support required to maintain its expected growth.”
Lopez has not announced yet what he will be doing after his stint with Training IT Professionals, though he has indicated that he will be leaving his “options open” for the time being.
He also pointed out that since consulting in the IT industry is something that he has done in the past, he would be interested in doing it again.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
