HP is growing its distie base with the addition of Bluechip Infotech as a new local distributor.
The company will be responsible for disseminating HP’s Personal Systems Group (PSG) full product portfolio in Australia, excluding its retail POS systems.
According to Bluechip, the move marks its aim to help drive channel growth in 2012 and allow HP’s PSG division to grow its market share by expanding into new reseller networks for its PC products. HP channel sales organisation director, Margrith Appleby, said the announcement is in response to accelerated market growth.
“2012 will be an exciting year for HP and our partners. We have new products and we firmly believe this will not only round out our distribution offering to our resellers, but also offer them broader choice when looking to purchase HP PSG products,” she said.
Distributors Dicker Data, Ingram Micro, Synnex and Sektor will still continue to offer HP’s PSG portfolio.
“We have maintained our strong focus in SMB and education channels in the last few years. With this opportunity on board, we will continue our commitment to provide a better service and a broader range of products for the IT channels in 2012,” Bluechip managing director, Johnson Hsiung, said.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
