Toshiba Australia announces sleek consumer line-up (+ gallery)

Includes the Toshiba Tablet (AT200), the Satellite U840 Ultrabook, Toshiba Tablet (AT1S0), Qosmio X770 and Qosmio F750

Toshiba Australia has unveiled its latest line of consumer products including the Toshiba Tablet (AT200), the Satellite U840 Ultrabook, Toshiba Tablet (AT1S0), Qosmio X770 and Qosmio F750.

The Toshiba Tablet (AT200) is a 10.1-inch tablet weighs 535g and measures 7.7mm thick. According to the company, it is the thinnest and lightest tablet available for its size.

It also boasts a Wide View HD screen made from Gorilla glass, dual cameras and a range of ports that include a micro HDMI, micro USB 2.0 and micro SD slot.

The AT200 runs on the Android 3.2 operating system and has a 16GB Solid State Drive.

It comes in a magnesium alloy finish, aimed at busy trendsetters on the move who require a tablet with stronger performance.

The tablet will be available in retail stores from early February, for $579(RRP).

The Toshiba Satellite U840 Ultrabook features a new 14-inch screen, 8GB RAM, hybrid 320GB Hard Drive with 16GB Solid State Drive, as well as USB 3.0 and a range of connections – such as full size HDMI, USB and SD as well as one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports.

Weighing in at 1.73kg and measuring 19.9mm thick, it is powered by Intel’s ULV Core i5 processor.

“We’re continually innovating at Toshiba and raising the bar with each new product. Increased RAM, memory and screen size are just some of the standouts in the new range,” Toshiba Australia product marketing manager, Justin White, said.

It also features a brushed aluminium finish and backlit keyboard.

The Toshiba Satellite U840 is available for $1499.

The company also launched its 7-inch AT1S0 Tablet, a pocket sized Tablet with AV capabilities, with 16GB of storage.

Weighing in at just 375g and powered by Android 3.2, the tablet includes twin cameras, micro HDMI and mini USB ports, as well as a micro SD card slot and enhanced AV stereo sound. The AT1S0 is also available with 8GB storage.

It is available for $399.

For serious gaming, the company introduced the Qosmio X770 with 16GB RAM.

The new X770 now features a 1.5TB hybrid SSD and Hard Drive and runs on Intel’s Core i7 quad core processor.

Its other key specifications include: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M (3d Vision), a Blu-Ray burner/ DVD SuperMulti Drive and 1920x1080 FHD screen resolution.

It is available in sleek chrome with red racing trim finish and is exclusive to Harvey Norman.

The Qosmio F750 is a 15-inch notebook with 16GB RAM.

Powered by Intel’s Core i7 processer, nVIDIA graphics and Harman Kardon speakers, the Qosmio F750 comes with 1TB Hard Drive, 3D Output to 3D TV, Integrated Hybrid Digital Analog TV Tuner and 4 USB Ports.

Featuring a brand new, Ocean Blue finish, it has a $1999 price tag.
