Companies join to create SAP reseller and solutions-based consulting organisation

Group forms part of NTT DATA’s wider global strategy of assigning its foreign subsidiaries to four regions worldwide

IT consulting company, NTT DATA, and SAP partner for SMEs, itelligence, have announced the next phase of their global market strategy in the SAP environment.

The companies are bundling their expertise in a newly formed group of solution companies that aim to create a global SAP reseller and solutions-based consulting firm.

The new group will be coordinated by CEO and founder of itelligence AG, Herbert Vogel.

The move follows itelligence AG’s plans to expand its SAP service range to include the Asia-Pacific region and according to the company, this latest development completes its global footprint.

The coordination in the Asia-Pacific region will be led by Extend Technologies managing director, Max White, who will head the activities of the existing NTT DATA Group SAP assets in the region. They include Extend Technologies (Australia), Business Formula (Malaysia) and Cornerstone Asia (Singapore), and coordinate and further expand into growth markets such as Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.

“I expect exponential growth to 500 SAP consultants in the region by 2015 with revenue of $300 million,” White said. The solution group will form part of NTT DATA’s wider global strategy of assigning its foreign subsidiaries to four regions worldwide – America, Europe; the Middle East and Africa; Asia-Pacific and China.

“Bundling and coordinating the SAP activities of the NTT DATA subsidiaries in the booming growth markets of Asia in particular will be a challenge,” Vogel said.

As part of the consulting organisation, customers will have access to SAP’s network of consultants, contacts for global and multinational accounts, government agencies and internationally active SMEs and a global network of local customer requirements.
