Panasonic Australia strengthens Toughbook team

Panasonic Australia has recently appointed Andrew Smith as its product marketing manager for Toughbooks.
In his new role, Smith will work closely with Panasonic’s key distributors and resellers and is responsible for building to the Toughbook’s success in the local market while overseeing marketing strategy for its range.
Prior to joining Panasonic Australia, Smith had more than six years’ experience in Sony’s consumer AVIT sales and product marketing divisions, working for the company in both Sydney and Tokyo.
Panasonic Australia recently announced the expansion of its Australian Toughbook computer line-up, with models targeted at mobile professionals, field workers, the military, utilities, heavy industry, emergency services and organisations where durable mobile computing is critical to maximising productivity and uptime.
The latest range is the largest offering yet for Panasonic Toughbook in Australia and features three lightweight business-rugged models alongside three fully-rugged models.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
