Backup (OTA Data Backup Restore)
Cost: US$9.99 | Developer: BAK2u Pte Ltd | Platform: BlackBerry | Version: 1.3.0 | 66 KB |
Backing up your mobile device while its physically hooked up to a desktop PC is so 2005.
With the help of Backup, you are able to backup and restore the critical information stored on your BlackBerry device over-the-air.
Whether it is your Address Book, Calendar and/or MemoList, the data can be synchronised quickly and easily with your computer via a wireless connection.
The app takes the backup files and sends them to any predefined email address for future access, and the user can set when and how often the backups take place.
When it comes to restoring your BlackBerry, you just need to retrieve the backup files from your email account and use the app to return the data back onto your device.
The trial version of the app can be used for three days to test out the features, and from then on the user will need to buy the full app.
Pros: Backup your vital information over-the-air.
Cons: Not the most expensive app, though not the cheapest either.
Verdict: You’ll have your vital information backed up with Backup.
