Telecommunications provider, iiNet, has partnered with VMware, IBM and Juniper to offer Cloud services to SMB customers.
Starting from $29/month, the iiNet Business Cloud features a self-service Web portal that has been designed around ease of use for those SMB customers.
It offers “thousands” of virtual applications (dubbed “vApps”) that can be rapidly deployed, and offers enterprise class security features.
The service also allows access to the Business Cloud’s Application Programming Interface, and importantly the data will be hosted in Australian datacentres and supported locally.
In a release, CEO of iiNet Business, Greg Bader, said “Business Cloud follows from our launch of Business Voice. Put simply, it gives the small guys the same tools of the trade normally reserved for the big enterprise players.
"Removing barriers to entry and offering total flexibility, these products reflect the needs of operating a small business in today’s challenging environment.”
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
