Ingram Micro has partnered up with enterprise hosting specialist, UberGlobal, within its recently launched Services Group.
UberGlobal maintains more than 100,000 hosted sites on its platform. This partnership allows Ingram to offer resellers the ability to sell, provision and manage their own SaaS and IaaS customers via their own website and under their own brand.
The initial range of turnkey services will include Hyper-V VPS, VMware VDS, domains, SSL, shared Windows and Linux hosting, managed Exchange and SharePoint. Additional services to support complex and critical hosting requirements will be available via an enterprise partnership program that provides pre sales support to resellers.
Ingram Services Group business unit manager, Darren Elsby, saidUberGlobal’s agility and capability to execute on mission critical projects was an attractive point of consideration.
“UberGlobal has consistently demonstrated an ability to deliver highly reliable and scalable hosting solutions to the Australian market. It is recognised by Microsoft, VMware and Parallels as a premium service provider, and has been the web infrastructure provider behind a string of very high profile Government initiatives launched over the last year,” Elsby said.
“Because of its expertise across such a broad spectrum of virtualisation platforms, and its ability to aggregate and deliver both SaaS and IaaS offerings, this UberGlobal partnership provides our resellers with a very wide range of hosted services.” Microsoft SMB partner group director, Evan Williams, said the software giant would work closely with both companies and support them both in this new initiative.
UberGlobal CEO, Michael McGoogan, said partnering with Ingram allows it to expand its services offerings to resellers.
“We’re looking forward to working closely with Darren and his team to simplify the delivery of complex hosting solutions and allow customers to take advantage of our managed services through their existing relationship with their Ingram Micro reseller,” he said.
Ingram launched its Services Group in September.
