Anittel opens new Armidale office

ASX-listed regional reseller, Anittel, has opened a new office located in Armidale, NSW.

This follows on from Anittel’s recent opening of its Tamworth office in August. The reseller now has 17 regional and metropolitan office locations.

Anittel CEO, Peter Kazacos, said it would continue to grow its regional footprint during the next few years.

“Armidale is significant for us in terms of our NBN strategy and it was important to have an office there,” he said.

One of the main determinants in expanding its regional footprint will be based on NBN first release sites, but Kazacos said it wasn’t the only one.

“It’s significant particularly when you look at our cloud and telco offerings. Where there is NBN connection in regional Australia, it makes it easier for our customers, particularly with reliability and speed of services,” he said.

Recently, Anittel became an NBN retail service supplier, and is working with the Armidale Chamber of Commerce to provide insight into the opportunities the NBN presents to the business community in the region.

“Local organisations in New England and the North West now have access to a local provider which can assist with all facets of their IT & Telecommunications requirements.,” Anittel’s regional manager, Dave McGill, said. “As an NBN Retail Service Supplier, Anittel can connect businesses to the NBN and then provision innovative cloud based solutions to their site.”
