Former HP networking vice-president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan, Paul Robson, has joined software vendor, Adobe Systems as its A/NZ managing director.
After 11 years with HP,Robson takes up the new role in November as he spotted it as a good opportunity to make a move. He replaces Ashley Wearne who left to pursue other opportunities.
HP Networking, Asia-Pacific and Japan director of product management and marketing, Amol Mitra, will be interim lead for the business. A search for Robson’s replacement is currently underway.
Robson will be responsible for driving strong growth for Adobe in its digital media and digital marketing sectors across all industries throughout A/NZ.
"My first point of focus will be to continue the performance of Adobe, moving into 2012 and looking at some of the new acquisitions and products to be announced into the Australian market."
He also added that from a channel perspective, he intends to work closer with Adobe's channel partners in developing strategies and plans.
Robson has more than 16 years in senior leadership roles across sales, marketing and channel management at organisations including Compaq and Philips Electronics.
Robson will report directly to Adobe Asia-Pacific vice-president, Julian Quinn. “Paul joins us at a very important time as Adobe responds to growing demand for tools and platforms to create, deliver, measure and optimise digital content across devices and platforms,” Quinn said.
