SAP expands Oakton relationship with HANA

SAP HANA provides companies with the ability to process large amounts of real-time data providing users with clearer insight into business operations

Enterprise software vendor, SAP has expanded its relationship with ASX-listed IT services company, Oakton (ASX:OKN), on the back of increased interest for its HANA product line.

SAP HANA allows to process large quantities of real-time data, providing immediate results using the speed and power of in memory processing, an open architecture, flexible modeling and calculation capabilities. As a result, users gain clearer insight into business operations and it helps to enable real-time decision making.

Oakton is already an SAP alliance partner and offers a range of consulting services.

In a statement, Oakton managing director, Neil Wilson, said many clients were facing an increased challenge to manage large quantities of transactional and analytical data as well as new data from internal and external resources.

“With SAP HANA, clients will be able to access, explore, model and analyse their data in real time, in a single environment,” Wilson said.

SAP A/NZ director of ecosystem, Greg Ryan, said Oakton had the right experience, skills and knowledge to help customers understand the benefits of HANA.
