Goodlace joins VMware

Former Sun Microsystems managing director, Andrew Goodlace, takes on a newly created role with VMware

Former Sun Microsystems managing director, Andrew Goodlace, has joined virtualisation vendor, VMware as its new director for commercial sales in A/NZ.

In the newly created post, Goodlace will be responsible for managing business in Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia. His responsibilities also entail commercial and inside sales businesses across NSW and Victoria.

Goodlace will report to VMware A/NZ managing director, Duncan Bennet.

Goodlace boasts more than 27 years experience within the IT industry and previously worked for Sun Microsystems and KAZ Technology Services.

“VMware Australia has 8000 loyal customers and 2500 partners backed by a strong ecosystem for growth and expansion for the company,” Goodlace said. “I look forward to growing and supporting these businesses providing “true cloud” enabled infrastructure - private, public and hybrid.”

Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
