ASX-listed integrator, UXC (ASX:UXC) has landed a major contract with Victorian water business, City West Water.
The first phase of work is in connection with the implementation and application support for a large Oracle-based solution.
In a statement to the ASX, UXC said if the project is fully implemented, it will be one of the largest contracts it has won to date. So far, financial details haven’t been disclosed.
The project will see City West Water transition its business processes and systems to a new, common Oracle-based systems platform. It will be supported via UXC’s Oracle business, Red Rock Consulting.
Spanning a number of years, the project will commence with a detailed enterprise design and implementation planning process.
The Oracle technology stack includes applications, database, integration middleware, hardware and operating system.
“This validates our view that more and more Australian clients are seeking the delivery of business critical transformations by local companies with strong local resources who demonstrate a solid understanding of both their industry and the Australian marketplace,” UXC managing director, Cris Nicolli, said.
City West Water managing director, Anne Barker, said the project is designed to provide a technology platform to support the business for the next decade.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
