Niche distributor, Adimex, has signed a deal to distribute shared storage and networking products by US-based vendor, Small Tree, in Australia and New Zealand.
The addition of Small Tree’s range of Mac-based Ethernet products to Adimex’s portfolio is expected to boost the distributors reach among post-production professionals in Australia and New Zealand.
“At Adimex, we constantly look to build our line-up of world-leading brands,” Adimex business manager, Gavin Gilbert, said.
“Adding Small Tree's highly regarded line of shared storage and networking products to our existing collection of brands further solidifies our company's position as a one-stop shop for industry professionals.”
Small Tree also sees the deal with Adimex as a way for it to increase its reach outside the United States into the Asia-Pacific region.
"Adimex has developed business relationships with top tier Mac-dealers and system integrators who require Mac-based Ethernet products," Small Tree president, Corky Seeber, said.
"We are confident that this partnership will extend the reach of both companies and provide an improved level of service to dealers, systems integrators and end users in Australia and New Zealand."
Seeber identified the continued expansion of Small Tree’s GraniteSTOR line of shared storage systems and growing popularity of 10 Gigabit Ethernet in the production industry as key factors contributing to their push to overseas markets.
In 2009, Adimex broadened its portfolio by signing a distribution deal with video production vendor, ikan.
