Dicker Data adds on Buffalo

New partnership a big opportunity for both, Dicker claims.

ASX-listed distributor, Dicker Data (ASX:DDR) has further broadened its product line, partnering with Buffalo to bring its storage solutions to market.

Buffalo is a specialist in networking, storage and multimedia solutions for the small business and home market. The vendor has been successful in Japan, maintaining 55 per cent market share in its core business.

"Buffalo has experienced great success in the Japanese market and we are enthusiastic to replicate that here in Australia. We look forward to exploring the potential opportunities with our extensive SMB reseller base in the coming months,” Dicker Data CEO, David Dicker, said in a statement.

Buffalo group manager, Southeast Asia & Oceania Group, Akihoto Kondo, said it had been working hard to transfer the success it enjoys in the Asian market to Australia.

We feel confident this new partnership will help us gain more traction in the channel, particularly for our small business solutions, and further expand the market share for Buffalo in Australia," Kondo said.

Dicker recently extended its relationship with Asus.

Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
