Regional ASX-listed reseller, Anittel (ASX:AYG), has achieved VMware vCloud Powered status and certification for its virtualised cloud infrastructure service.
VMware vCloud service delivers a set of cloud computing services across a common platform, supporting the largest set of existing applications and offering application mobility.
The certification will strengthen Anittel’s capability in providing end-to-end service and support to regional and metropolitan customers across Australia.
Anittel hosting team leader, Anthony Spiteri, said its virtualised cloud infrastructure customers will have the ability to move workloads from their VMware vSphere-based virtualised or private cloud environment to the VMware vCloud Powered service and back again.
“With VMware vCloud we can implement a hybrid based solution that takes advantage of cloud service benefits whilst still utilising traditional onsite resources. It’s a win-win scenario for businesses looking for operational efficiency, flexibility and competitive advantage,” Spiteri said.
The full service offering is currently in the final implementation phase and is available for closed testing upon request. It will debut later on this year.
