Data storage vendor, Hitachi Data Systems, held its Best In Technical Solutions (BITS) Forum 2011 at Chirnside Park in Victoria.
Around 50 partners and sponsors attended the thre- day interactive forum, which engaged the technical leads from Hitachi Data Systems’ storage channel.
An overall view of where Hitachi Data Systems and the market is moving with new technologies and solutions were the focus of the event, as well as the four areas of information cloud, data protection, transformation and converged solutions.
The forum was hosted by Hitachi Data Systems chief technology officer for Australia and New Zealand, Adrian De Luca, who spoke about some of the key changes taking place in today’s market, such as an increasing amount of customers considering the move towards converged data centre solutions.
“Our partners across ANZ are well aware of the need to offer customers end-to-end converged application solutions as well as provide them with reliable, cost efficient and high performing information infrastructure,” De Luca said.
“The forum gives us the opportunity to demonstrate first-hand how our solutions solve customer challenges while providing our key strategic partners the technological roadmaps to support their customers moving forward.”
Two awards were presented at the Forum, with IT services provider, Datacom, grabbing Best Technical Solution of the year and the Best Individual Contributor being awarded to Joedi Hiscox from Victorian partner Perfekt.
De Luca recently spoke about the challenges of virtualisation at the Implementing Information Infrastructure Symposium 2011 in Sydney.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
