CA crowns McMurray as new local head

Security vendor, CA Technologies, has appointed Bill McMurray to lead its operations across A/NZ.
McMurray steps into the role vacated by Brenton Smith, who has taken up a new role with rival vendor, Symantec to lead its cloud business.
McMurray boasts more than 25 years experience within the IT industry working for companies such as IONA Technologies, Parametric Technology, Seer Technologies and IBM Australia.
He was most recently the APJ vice-president and general manager for business process management company, IDS Scheer AG.
McMurray’s responsibilities entail driving sales, building the partner ecosystem, developing business and managing overall operations in the region. He will report to CA Asia-Pacific president, Lionel Lim.
