Chinese communications vendor, Huawei Australia, will roll out its Huawei Enterprise Advantage Partner (HEAP) program with authorised distributor, Simms International, in Australia.
The HEAP program is designed to entice potential enterprise business partners, such as value-added resellers, system integrators and technology suppliers, to join Huawei as it looks to expand its enterprise business in Australia
“We’re excited to announce this new channel partner program as part of our joint go-to-market strategy,” Huawei Enterprise South Pacific regional VP, Tony Zhang, said.
“This will offer our partners and resellers the opportunity to grow with Huawei’s enterprise business, bringing new business prospects, along with new avenues for growth and profitability.”
The HEAP program comes soon after Huawei partnered with Simms International to target the enterprise space.
In addition to the HEAP program, the other major announcement by Huawei was the appointment of Gavin Milton-White as the general manager of channel sales.
Milton-White comes into the role with 18 years experience in the ICT industry, including 5 years with Avaya as director of channels and distribution, and also as regional director at Shoretel.
“Huawei’s enterprise business was only created at the beginning of this year, and already we’re seeing overwhelming interest from potential partners,” Milton-White said.
“This is the perfect time to come on board as General Manager of Channel Sales at this rapidly growing company, and I believe Huawei’s entry into the enterprise space will have a huge impact on the market.”
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
