APC by Schneider Electric has appointed Paul Tyrer as vice president of its Pacific region.
Tyrer is a veteran of APC, with over 16 years of experience with the vendor. He was previously the head of the vendor’s UK, Ireland and Nordics business unit. He replaces Gordon Makryllos, who has moved to a role leading the Australian division of Orange Business Services.
In a release, Tyrer said “I am excited to join the Pacific team at such an important time for the datacentre industry.
“At no period in our short history have datacentres been more critical to business, yet the industry faces some significant challenges due to rising energy costs and the importance of securing critical power supplies.”
More to come.
