CFO Carolyn Sutton resigns from Melbourne IT

Leaves Web hoster to “pursue other opportunities” after spending less than 18 months in the position

Carolyn Sutton has resigned from her position as Chief Financial Officer at Web hoster, Melbourne IT (ASX:MLB).

Sutton was in the position for less than 18 months, following her appointment in February 1 last year.

The reason for Sutton’s departure was “to pursue another opportunity in a different industry.”

While Sutton’s last with Melbourne IT will be August 26, the company is already commencing a search for a replacement . “The board of director and managing director of Melbourne IT thank Ms. Sutton for her contribution to Melbourne IT and wish Ms. Sutton well in her future endeavours,” Melbourne IT general counsel and company secretary, Ashe-lee Jegethesan, said in a statement to the ASX.

Accounting software provider, Reckon, recently purchased a stake in Melbourne IT and expects its investment in the companyto strengthen its business performance.

Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
