OpenText appoints IQBG as premier partner

Global ECM company, OpenText, has established the IQ Business Group, Australia (IQBG), as a premier partner to better support its financial services clients in the area of information governance, document management and archiving.
OpenText’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) applications and solutions will be included as part of IQBG’s business systems and technologies to aid clients meet compliance and information governance requirements and provide more content to customers, partners and employees.
OpenText alliance director, Owen Brandt, said, “There is great resonance in partnering with IQBG, with a common focus on the Microsoft SharePoint solution. This includes our recent mobile platform development and continuing our inroads into the local financial sector.”
IQBG will expand its focus from business applications to ECM and records management, eDiscovery, content archiving and information governance and aims to advance the management of existing paper-based processes and related information, unlock intellectual capital and improve efficiency levels with OpenText’s ECM solutions.
IQBG Australia CEO, Graham Sammells, said the partnership is timely as Information Governance – in particular Enterprise Content Archiving and eDiscovery - will increase in importance for financial service organisations.
“Our financial services clients are responsible for an extremely large volume of information as part of their fiduciary responsibilities and also to provide a positive customer service experience for their own clients,” Sammells said.
The IQBG team has commenced its OpenText training activities.
The ECM offering from IQBG is based on the OpenText ECM Suite for Microsoft, diQta.
