Emerson Network Power promotes Sanghi to president of Asia market

He will take on full leadership and general management responsibility for company’s Asia organisation

Emerson Network Power, has promoted its vice-president of operations, Anand Sanghi, to president of the Asia market.

In the new role, Sanghi will take on full leadership and general management responsibility for Emerson Network Power’s Asia organisation – covering A/NZ, South-East Asia, Japan, South Korea, and Pakistan.

He will report directly to Emerson Network Power Asia-Pacific president, Stephen Liang.

The appointment reflects the company’s business growth in the region and its strategy to expand with new customers, partners and geographies.

“With the recent global acquisitions of Avocent and Chloride, we are positioned to support communications and computing infrastructure needs with our products, solutions, services and Data Center Infrastructure Management,” Sanghi said.

He joined Emerson in 1994 as a business planner for Copeland, now part of Emerson Climate Technologies.

Sanghi held several roles in Copeland and was subsequently promoted to director of planning and business development in Emerson Electric Asia-Pacific.

He moved to Emerson Network Power in Asia-Pacific in 2001 as director of planning, then product management, service and marketing before serving as its vice-president of operations.

Sanghi intends to use his skills at understanding customer needs, technology and cross-cultural management in leading a diversified Asia organisation. He will be based in the company’s regional headquarters in Manila.
