Microsoft Australia’s director of small and mid-market solutions and partner group, Paul Voges, will leave the company at the end of August. He will be replaced by Evan Williams.
Voges will pursue new business opportunities.
Williams will drive sales and marketing efforts and provide business solutions for SMB customers and work closely with Microsoft managing director, Pip Marlow.
Previously, he led Microsoft’s communications sector team as its director for just under a year where he was responsible for selling with and to Australia’s major telecommunication and media entertainment companies, enhancing its alliance with Telstra and building a hosting partner team.
He has more than 21 years’ experience in the IT industry, formerly holding senior management positions with Dell and IBM.
“As we move into the new financial year, our 14,000-strong Microsoft Partner ecosystem plays a critical role in delivering new solutions to our 1.1 million SMB customers to help solve their business problems,” Williams said.
He also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
