Hardware accessories vendor, Belkin Australia & New Zealand, has appointment Ian McLean as managing director and Brendan Sparks as head of marketing and product management. McLean is replacing previous managing director, Patrick Domingue, following his transfer to Belkin’s operation in the US.
Prior to his appointment, McLean was responsible for the storage business at Seagate, held the VP of Asia-Pacific sales role at Netgear, and was the head of sales and marketing at Netcomm.
Sparks comes into his role from Samsung Electronics, where he was product marketing manager for plasma and 3D TV, as well as holding the APAC regional marketing manager position at Fuji Xerox and heading up software marketing at Canon Australia.
“I am really pleased that we have been able to attract such high quality candidates to join the Belkin team in A/NZ,” Belkin Asia VP, Alan Sparks, said.
“There is no doubt in my mind that the addition of Ian and Brendan will take the already successful business we have in A/NZ to a new level.”
Last year, Belkin hired three new retail channel sales managers to improve independent retailer relations.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
