Rittal opens Canberra office and datacentre

Rittal has opened its new Canberra office and datacentre with a lavish Oktoberfest-themed launch event.
More than 80 government officials, datacentre and security consultants and IT managers attended, headed by Senator Kate Lundy.
She said the government was constantly looking to reduce Australia's carbon footrprint.
"Rittal has responded to that need with the introduction of a security room that is not only modular but also transportable to go and grow with our businesses," Senator Lundy said. Rittal has made a commitment to building Canberra's most energy efficient datacentre.
The company's LSR18.6E Secuirty Room recently won the award for product excellence at the CeBIT ICT Business Awards.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
