In a bid to simplify its selection of plans available to customers, Virgin Mobile has reduced its post-paid mobile plans from 19 to less than 10.
While Virgin is keeping its "Topless" plans, the remaining groups will be split between the "Big" and "Fair Go" monikers.
The monthly Big plans are aimed at users that need a large amount of calls and text credit, while the Fair Go plans include lower monthly call and text credit, as well as access to a wider selection of more recently released handsets.
Users of all plans are able to roll over unused monthly call and text credit to the next month, and free calls between other users on the Virgin mobile network are available.
Call rates at $0.99 per minute remain unchanged from Virgin's former plans.
Information about the new plans will soon go live on Virgin Mobile’s website, but in the meantime customers who are interested in signing up for a plan are advised to do so in store.
Virgin Mobile users recently experienced a voicemail service outage.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
