The HTC Sensation Android phone: coming soon to Telstra
HTC's latest Android smartphone, the HTC Sensation, is definitely coming soon to Telstra after the telco sent out a not so subtle tweet today regarding its imminent release.
Read our comprehensive HTC Sensation review, and check out our guide to the best upcoming smartphones in 2011.
UPDATE: Telstra has officially confirmed it will exclusively launch the HTC Sensation in July. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
First reported on Australian Android blog Ausdroid, the Telstra news Twitter account this morning posted the most obvious hint we've ever read: "Happy Monday! Hope you are all excited for a Sensational week with some Sensational announcements." The Tweet obviously suggests the launch of the HTC Sensation will be officially announced by Telstra sometime this week.
Formerly codenamed the HTC Pyramid, the HTC Sensation is one of the most hotly anticipated Android phones of 2011, and combines an impressive list of specifications with the latest Android software. The Sensation features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3in quarter high definition (qHD) display, and an 8-megapixel camera — all wrapped in a unibody aluminium design.
The Sensation's display has a resolution of 960 x 540, and is one quarter of a full 1080p HD screen, hence its qHD name. The Sensation will be the first smartphone with a 4.3in qHD screen to hit the market in Australia — the Motorola Atrix also has a qHD screen, but is a slightly smaller size at 4in.
The HTC Sensation also comes with HTC's latest Sense UI customisation, 3.0. New features include customisable lock screens, 3D transitions between screens, and an improved weather app with more vibrant animations and sounds.

Is the new HTC Sensation just the HTC sensation or actually the HTC sensation 4G ?.
Surley Telstra are not releasing a new android phone on thier network that dosn't operate in the 3G HSDPA 850 Mhz band as Telstra DO NOT support the 3G HSPDA 900 Mhz band.
