Print vendor, Oki, has added retail outlet, Officeworks as its first national executive series partner.
The retailer will use this partnership to launch its newly created managed print services (MPS) division.
Oki national sales manager, Greg Mikaelian, wasn’t concerned with any negative impact this new partnership would create among its current Executive Series dealer base.
“Our Executive Series partners are for the most part regional focused and we expect the product and customer cross over to be minimal. In fact they can benefit from the brand exposure and potential servicing revenue from Officeworks activity,” Mikaelian said. “Our Executive Series products are designed for SMB with a mix of mid range print models, coupled with the more traditional A3 copiers. It is this range that fits in with the Officeworks MPS division target market”
Mark Stewart who stepped over from copier vendor, Ricoh last year, will head the Officeworks MPS unit.
“We are excited to partner with OKI and implement our offering following months of planning behind the scenes,” Stewart said.
