Infrastructure management solutions provider, Raritan, recently announced its appointment of communications and security products supplier, Anixter, as its licensed distributor in A/NZ.
The companies officially signed the distribution licence agreement on May 27.
The collaboration was a result of Raritan seeking a partner who could address specifically enterprise-class data center areas, such as intelligent power management, data center energy management and general facilities level product requirements.
As per the terms of agreement, Anixter is permitted to immediately import and support the full range of Raritan’s data centre management solutions, software and services across A/NZ.
According to Raritan director in A/NZ, Gary Hull, collaborating with Anixter will complement and extend the reach of Raritan’s range into new markets across the region. “This new partnership provides Raritan the opportunity to access a pre-existing, competent channel community capable of addressing what have been to-date relatively untapped markets,” he said.
Through the partnership, the companies aim to reach the intelligent power management market – including large, government, financial services, telecommunications and managed services.
Anixter Australia managing director, Tim Martin, said “acquiring a globally established partner will provide a significant boost for Anixter.”
itX and Avnet group will be the only two distributors for the range in Australia and SnapperNet and Anixter NZ for New Zealand.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
