Heyworth appointed Think product boss

Heyworth brings over 18 years of experience in IT and telecommunications industries.

David Heyworth has scooped Lenovo ANZ’s commercial product group manager post. As part of the role, Heyworth is responsible for defining and driving the go-to-market strategies for the commercial Think product portfolio’s across A/NZ. He will manage business managers and product managers both locally and internationally.

Heyworth brings to the role over 18 years of experience working in the technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Lenovo, Heyworth held various senior management positions in the ICT space including roles at Telstra and HP.

“I have a good tech and telco background,” Heyworth said, adding he is well aware of the traditional IT and telco convergence trend sweeping the industry.

“Lenovo is at an exciting point in its evolution and I’m very pleased to be joining the team at such a pivotal time for the company and for the PC market in general. I’m looking forward to the challenges and opportunities this new role presents, and to driving Lenovo’s commercial business to new heights, right across our notebook, desktop, workstation, server, thin client, display and services categories.”

Lenovo ANZ vice-president and managing director, Alan Munro, said Heyworth’s experience working in the technology and telecommunications industries is already proving to be a great asset to the Lenovo team.

Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
