Telstra bundles twice as much broadband

Telstra has served notice to its broadband competitors: match this! The telco's latest Complete Home Bundles range offers twice the broadband data allowances of previous bundles.
According to Telstra consumer executive director, Rebekah O’Flaherty, the second data increase for bundles is a result of growing local online usage.
“Telstra research last year found that the average Australian home had four Net-connected devices. But in the past year, half of those homes have added at least one more,” she said.
The research showed a change in consumer Net habits in addition to the increased number of devices in the home – such as T-Boxes, games consoles and tablets.
“We’ve seen an increase in activities such as movie downloads and video streaming on top of more traditional activities such as accessing news, weather and social networking,” O’Flaherty said.
The study also revealed 40 per cent of households use Wi-Fi to connect devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to their home Internet allowance rather than connecting to the Internet on-the-go.
The Complete Home Bundles range features five bundles: the 5GB bundle, Saver 200GB bundle, 100GB bundle, 200GB bundle and the 500GB bundle.
Prices for the plans start from $89 per month and more information can be accessed from http://www.telstra.com.au/bundle_save/home-bundles.html.

Yay Telstra.
I've had 500GB monthly data with Optus for the last 6 months or so. Talk about serving notice to your competitors!
Sounds more like the typical game of catch-up to me.
Not that I'm saying Optus was the first either with decent download quotas, because we know they weren't.

Except try getting tech support or credit from Optus. Even though I had problems with Telstra billing in the end everithing got resolved. But when trying to help friends talk to Optus - good luck. I'm not even going into Optus' mobile service.
