PRODUCTS: Kroll Ontrack announces A/NZ availability of Ontrack PowerControls 6.1

New features provide support for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010

Data recovery and legal technologies products and services provider, Kroll Ontrack, recently announced the availability of Ontrack PowerControls version 6.1.

The integrated tool for mailbox and archive management needs supports Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010, enabling users to open and read SharePoint 2010 data and connect to its targets.

The enhancement provides complete recovery, restoration, migration and consolidation support for the SharePoint Server 2007 and 2010 environments and Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010. The company aims to reduce human error, lessen risk, maximise IT performance and save costs for companies using the Ontrack PowerControls version 6.1.

Key features of the enhancement include: connecting to SharePoint 2010 targets by opening and reading SharePoint 2010 sources, managing dissimilar source and target restore – permitting users to address mixed media, supporting SharePoint Server 2007 and SharePoint Server 2010 file formats, searching multiple file formats and operating within the Microsoft SharePoint support policy.
