CA revenue up 5 per cent on FY2011

IT management software vendor, CA, has grown revenue by 5 per cent to $US4.4 billion in its 2011 full financial year.
North America made up $US2.7 billion of revenue. International sales contributed $US1.7 billion.
The company posted positive fourth quarter results which contributed to its solid full year performance.
Net income from continuing operations for the full year hit $US823 million, up 8 per cent.
Cashflow was up 3 per cent to $US1.3 billion.
CA renewed a total of 56 licence agreements with an aggregate contract value of almost $2 billion.
Its five-year contract renewal with a large IT outsourcer in the fourth quarter boosted the result.
Operating margin was down 1 per cent to 28 per cent.
The vendor also announced it was selling its Internet security business to Updata Partners in the US.
Financial details were not disclosed.
CA’s outlook for the 2012 financial year is positive.
The vendor expects total revenue growth to increase by 6-8 per cent in constant currency.
Operational cashflow is tipped to be around $US1.5 billion.
