Kiandra IT becomes certified ethical hacker

The certification will enable it to understand and know how to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems

Victoria-based Kiandra IT, has become one of the first companies to gain a certification as part of an advanced ethical hacking training program.

Its senior systems engineer, Dan Weis, was selected by the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants to gain Certified Ethical Hacker version 7 training.

With this certification under his belt, Weis will have the ability to understand and know how to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems, and use the same knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker.

Kiandra IT managing director, Cameron Brookes, said the expertise would enable it to focus on complex and challenging security problems within companies.

“With this new capability, we will not only extend the services we offer our current clients, but we expect to attract new opportunities for specialist security services,” he said.
