Oki and Learning with Technologies partner up

The new relationship will give the print vendor a stronger footprint in education

Print vendor, Oki, has appointed Learning with Technologies (LWT) as its platinum business partner for entry into the education market.

Oki expects the new partnership to add significant volume to its small footprint in this segment.

“LWT has a well established reputation in the education market, not just in Victoria but throughout Australia,” Oki national sales manager, Greg Mikaelian, said.

“With the recent addition of new models to our product range, which are suited to education market requirements, we believe this new partnership is a great fit both LWT and their customer base.” LWT is one of the largest education government resellers that boasts more than 4000 schools as customers as well as a wide variety of tertiary organisations, government departments and agencies.

Ian Doherty, LWT’s CEO, said the new partnership is not intended to replace existing print business, but provide genuine incremental business.

“We have been selling printers for many years, but the addition of Oki gives us the ability to differentiate with an offering that has a new set of benefits to our customers,” Doherty said.

Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
