Virtualisation and cloud infrastructure vendor, VMware, has hired Vicki Batka as its new senior director for its channels division in the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.
Batka has 25 years experience in the industry and her responsibilities include the development and implementation of company strategy to drive sales programs and maximise productivity.
She takes over from Manish Sharma, who has become VMware's senior director for emerging products.
“Vicki brings a wealth of IT industry and channel partner management experience to VMware and will play a crucial role in growing our business across this vibrant region,” senior vice-president and general manager (APJ), Andrew Dutton, said.
Previously, Australian-born Batka was senior sales director in CA Technologies Asia-Pacific and held other executive positions.
Batka has also worked for Adobe, Toshiba and Network Associates.
