Distribution Central adds AdvaTel to Unity line-up

Distribution Central’s unified communications and IP telephony business unit, Unity Systems, has signed a distribution agreement with software vendor, AdvaTel.
It will be taking on AdvaTel’s InTouch unified communications software, which is aimed at the SMB market. It enable users to communication across a variety of applications such as Avaya IP Office, Microsoft Outlook, Skype, MSN, Yahoo and Lync.
Distribution Central managing director, Nick Verykios, said the software was complementary to its Unity Systems line up.
“Our system [online configuration tool] shows which add-on products are compatible and makes it simple and efficient for partners to order the right add-on software all on the same quote,” Verykios said. “We’re a offering a complete solution of unified communications with the applications.”
AdvaTel director of business development, Phillip Wong, said Unity was an ideal choice to take its software to market due its Avaya relationship and foothold in the SMB IP market.
