Flannigan joins UXC

Former NBN Co construction head joins the ASX-listed company as part of its strategic business plan

Former NBN Co head of construction, Patrick Flannigan, has joined ASX-listed UXC (ASX:UXC) on a full time advisory basis.

In a statement to the ASX, UXC said Flannigan’s experience, capability and market contacts were important elements that would be great value to the company.

Flannigan was previously the founder of Service Stream an ASX-listed services organisation that provided outsourcing, field force management, technical support and asset management services.

His appointment supports UXC’s strategic plan to decouple the Field Solutions Group from the IT business together with a concurrent focus on simplifying the core business.

In a statement, UXC managing director, Cris Nicolli, said it was on schedule with its plan to decouple the IT and Field Solutions businesses.

An integral part of the plan is the remediation of non-performing and non-core business lines through divestment or exit.

So far, it has made significant progress on completing the sale of Morgan FM to Global Food Equipment and the closure of the balance of its Retail Solutions Group.

Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
