Victoria-based information and communications technology (ICT) corporation, SPATIALinfo, has inked a broadband software contract with NBN Co.
Under the contract, the company will supply software products to manage the fibre-to-the-home physical network infrastructure for the first three years of the rollout of the NBN.
It will also offer product support and the relevant training for the initial three years surrounding the planning, implementation and maintenance of the network.
As a result of the win, 20 new ICT sector jobs will be created in Victoria over the next three years, Minister for Technology, Gordon Rich-Phillips, said.
This is the third contract for the state. Early this year, Victorian companies were granted contracts worth up to $1.3 billion in contracts by NBN Co.
SPATIALinfo is an industry veteran, with more than 25 years in the field.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
